40 Patterns Uploaded, Mostly TN’s Douglas
In prep for Bassmaster Elite Series pros hitting eastern Tennessee’s Douglas Lake next week, we recently seined the web for Douglas patterns. We found a bunch of fishing reports of questionable quality, a few of which we uploaded, and about 40 or so tournament pattern reports.
At first blush it looks like you’re cranking or Carolina-rigging offshore for bigger bites, and maybe hitting the shoreline or going upriver for limit fish, but Jay and Ken Cook will use the pattern info in BassGold to preview the lake on Bassmaster.com.
The good thing is that Douglas is an upland reservoir, one of several in eastern Tennessee. So the pattern data set can be expanded – legitimately, as is the case almost everywhere – by creating a Pattern Report by “water type” rather than exact lake.
Ken and Jay probably will tackle that in the post. And yes, with the new B.A.S.S. partnership, pattern research/upload priority is being given to waters that the Elites and Opens are fishing. But BassGold users are uploading other patterns just about every day now.
This update brings the total to about 3,650 patterns on nearly 300 lakes.
